Antibiotic for tooth pull same as given by an eye dr?

eye-cornea abrasion and a patch and safety lens to cover it. Eye Dr. gave me pain med and antibiotic. I was shocked when the price was over $155 for both when the next exam was only 2 days from now. He said, if things look good Friday, it's over. Pain med and antibiotic sounded like 2 days of pills to me, not both being eye drops. I am disabled and could not afford to buy the meds. I have an antibiotic given to me by a dentist after a tooth pull. Will that help my eye at all?
