Will child protective services allow me to keep my daughter???
My 16 year old daughter was kicked out of the house by her crack head dad. She doesn't feel safe or happy in his care, and refuses to go back there. I am told by the police that if she is not returned home, then she is considered a runaway due to the fact that she is too young for him to just kick her out. And if I do not take her back, where she is neither safe nor wanted, then I am "aiding and abetting a runaway." We intend to contact CPS first thing in the morning so she can say her piece about everything, and that she wants to stay here. But my ex has the best luck in the world, and can get over on ANYONE!!! Will they let her stay with me? Or will they make me take her back??? And if I REFUSE to take her back, can they arrest me for keeping her???
