I have had a secure credit card and been using it for 3 mos..but i still dont hv a credit file..pls help?

how long does it usually take for the info to be reported to the credit bureaus?i've been using my secure CC for 3 months and paying in full,using only 75% of limit and following all rules.still i dont hv a credit file yet.so,i am being rejected for all unsecure CCs.how long does it usually take for the financial institutions to report ur secure CC and when can I expect being approved for an unsecure CC.(i am not a student and not eligible for student CCs).
