Can Herniated Disk effect you right leg?

I have herniated disk at L4-L5 (on the right side) and been getting treatment for it. IDD, electrical nerve stimulation, laser. It did get somewhat better, but my lower right back still hurts a little and now my right leg and right ankle hurts. Its there 24/7, the pain fluctuates, when it does hurts the back and the leg hurts and i get waken up in the middle of the night by the pain. Can this be caused by my disc?
