What exactly is Schizophrenia?

Schizophrenia is a brain disease where one hears voices that aren't heard by others, believing that others are reading their minds, controlling their thoughts, or plotting to harm them. They may be fearful or withdrawn. Their speech and behavior can be so disorganized that it may be frightening to others and others may not be able to understand them. No more than one in five people recover completely.
