At my work as from next week we are not allowed to ...?

play the radio on the shop floor because you need a licence and can be fined but we are also not allowed to play cds as well we have got a 6 cd sound system bult in and have been using it for the past 12 years why is it now that it is not allowed they said that it ageinst the law to play cds and well as radio. now there will be no music allowed what so ever this will dampen the mood of costumers and staff can anyone help explain why not cds i have looked it up and there is no reason that it is illegal.
