Can you be convicted of bribery if you didn't use cash?

Lets say you bribed a Soviet border guard with a fine bottle of vodka, a pack of high cl cigarettes or a hearty raw fish? What about if you bribed a politician with a delicious chocolate fudge cake? If a beautiful woman was stopped for speeding and chose to sleep with the police officer in order to have the ticket quashed, or gave him her phone number - would that be a bribe? Can you only bribe government employees or is it possible to charge someone in court for bribing the head of a company or just bribing someone off the street? If a Cuban ambador offered the President a fine Havana cigar, would he be bribing him or merely acquainting him with Cuban culture?
