What is the deal with the email going around yahoo?

Looks like junk to me. I can't imagine them closing it down, period, let alone closing it down just because new accounts can't be made (which is pretty much impossible... I mean, couldn't you just make fljjlfddoiurwaoeirncvcoixuvposujlerajcvl… yahoo, or something?).
